Family Literacy

We have two new Family Literacy classes starting next week at Howard Elementary and Sunnymede Elementary schools. Classes will meet Monday through Thursdays from 8-11am and will provide childcare for younger children onsite. Our family literacy programs integrate interactive literacy activities between parent and child, provide training in parenting activities, provide literacy training that leads to economic self-sufficiency, and partner with our Fort Smith Public Schools to offer age appropriate education to prepare children for success in school and life experiences. Our classes are fun and free! We believe that parents are the first teachers of their children. Parents of children at Howard and Sunnymede are eligible to enroll. To find out more, call 785-1232.
